Helly Hansen Softpile™ maintains body warmth by trapping air, which insulates against cold. As heat is retained in the fleece or pile, moisture is moved to the outer layer. This maintains a dry body and a balanced body temperature.Helly Hansen engineers invented Softpile™ 40 years ago. This "new" insulation layer was the forerunner of fleece, and is still the best when superior insulation is required in particular when air permeability is required at the same time as heat balance maintenance.
